| So, I just got back from Sydney Australia where Sarah's mom lives. She put us up for two weeks which is way cool of her since Sarah and I are poor ass students and could never have afforded the trip otherwise. I took my obligatory photos of the Sydney Opera House (which is actually 3 buildings), hiked so difficult trails in the Blue Mountains, and bled (accidentally) all over the exact spot where Cpt. Cook first set food in Australia at Botany Bay. Pretty cool. You know, I don't actually plan coming back to this site only the same time every year and posting once, but it's funny how that happens, eh? | | |
| Hey, it's been another year. I figure I should write something here. Maybe I should write something tomorrow, too. Just for kicks. | | |
| - Jimmy CarterI should. I was using this as a forum to waste time and escape work with some creativity. I have other outlets for that (www.myspace.com/grokker42), but this is pretty o.k., too. I shall probably visit this space more now that school is almost out... not long now. Two more weeks, then a summer research extravaganza! | | |
| Dear Diary,
Today was a fabulous day. It was rainy, but you know that never gets me
down. I had so much to do that I hardly even noticed. Mrs. Withers
emailed me last night to see if she could borrow a cup of sugar for her
world famous cookies. She was making them for the church bake sale
today. I was excited to hear that I could help her, but shocked that I
had forgotten such an important event. I rushed my sugar over to her
last night, then came home directly to plan what I was going to make. I
had enough sugar, but the eggs, fruit, and all the other ingredients
for everything on my list of things that I could make were no where to
be found in my cupboards or refrigerator. So I knew I had to go
shopping. The whole town rolls up it's streets by 9:00PM, so it was too
late for me to go out. That is what I did with my day.
I went to Mr. Goldie's grocery on the corner to pick up some
peaches and whipped cream. When I got to the register I found that I
had forgotten my wallet. I've done this before, Diary, as you will
remember. But, Mr. Goldie is so nice. We arranged for me to get my
groceries with only a little exercise from my wrist. I still had to get
the eggs, though. You know me. I MUST have fresh eggs. I left Mr.
Goldie, and went to Miss Watson's farm for the eggs.
Usually Miss Watson is so nice, but this day she was feeling a
little under the weather. She was concerned that I didn't have any
money to pay her, but she knows that I am a really great entertainer.
She brought her donkey around and I gave her quite a show. She was very
pleased, and I must say I think that she looked quite a bit less under
the weather than when I got there. The donkey seemed to enjoy the
visit, too.
With my ingredients all gathered, I spent the rest of the morning
baking. I got to the church in time to sell some of my goodies.
Everyone loves my peaches and cream muffins. Rev. Smith told me he's
never had a more delicious muffin. We raised enough money to buy new
hymnals. Everyone was happy, especially Rev. Smith.
I am glad that I could make so many people happy. Today was so
tiring, though. I can't imagine what tomorrow might hold for me. | | |
| Another month, another post. Just finished with my first year of
g-school. Just a little bit closer to saving the world. Will post more
later since I have no classes left until September... just beautfiul,
awesome, inspiring, delicious, lickable, ice cream, honeysuckle, porno,
genetic research.
